jetBlue (NASDAQ:JBLU), a Jamaica, New York-based airline, announced it will launch its flights to Cuba starting 31 August 2016, becoming the first US-based airline to fly to the island, in a press release issued on 28 July 2016.

Specifically, the airline will operate three flights between the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the Cuban cities of Santa Clara, Camagüey, and Holguín. The flights to Santa Clara will begin on 31 August three-times a week and daily starting 1 October; while daily flights to Camagüey will begin on 3 November and to Holguín, on 10 November.

jetBlue, along with other five US-based airlines, received authorization from the US Department of Transportation to fly to Cuba in June (see related intel).

jetBlue (NASDAQ:JBLU), aerolínea con sede en Jamaica, New York, ha anunciado que inaugurará sus vuelos a Cuba el 31 de agosto de 2016, con lo que se convierte en la primera aerolínea estadounidense en volar a la isla, en una nota de prensa publicada el 28 de julio de 2016.

En concreto, la aerolínea operará tres rutas entre el Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport y las ciudades cubanas de Santa Clara, Camagüey y Holguín. Los vuelos a Santa Clara comenzarán el 31 de agosto tres veces por semana y diariamente a partir del 1 de octubre; mientras que los vuelos diarios a Camagüey comenzarán el 3 de noviembre y a Holguín, el 10 de noviembre.

jetBlue, junto con otras cinco aerolíneas estadounidenses, ha recibido la autorización de la secretaría de transporte de los Estados Unidos para volar a Cuba en junio (ver intel relacionado).
