Royal Dutch Shell (Euronext Amsterdam/LSE:RDSA), a The Hague, Netherlands-based petrochemical and natural gas producer, plans to analyze the worth of the projects of the fourth stage of round one of Mexican oil tenders before deciding whether it will participate in it, reported El Financiero on 26 September 2016, citing Royal Dutch Shell CEO in Mexico Fuente Piñeirua. Specifically, Piñeirua noted Royal Dutch Shell is interested in this stage, but added the projects to be tendered will have to be worth it for the company to decide to invest in them over others it has around the world. This strategy is part of the investment cuts the company is applying at a global scale.

En concreto, Piñeirua ha señalado que Royal Dutch Shell está interesada en esta etapa, pero ha añadido que los proyectos a licitar deberán valer la pena para que la empresa decida invertir en ellos por sobre otros que tiene en el mundo.
