Promotora Intercorp, a Peru-based real estate manager and subsidiary of Grupo Interbank, could join the list of interested bidders in the retail banking and credit card operations of Citibank Argentina, reported El Comercio on 7 July, 2016.

According to the report, executives of the company were seen looking over Citi branches in Buenos Aires to analyze the investment opportunities. However, the company's management did not confirm that story.

Santander (BME:SAN), BBVA (BME:BBVA), HSBC Argentina, Banco Galicia (BCBA:GGAL), Banco Macro (BCBA:BMA), ICBC Argentina, Banco Itaú Argentina, and Grupo Supervielle have been in the list of entities involved in the non-binding offer for the acquisition of the retail banking, branches, and credit card business of Citibank Argentina, which Citigroup (NYSE:C) announced it would close as well in Brazil and Colombia (see related intel).

Promotora Intercorp, empresa peruana dedicada a la gestión de inmuebles y filial del Grupo Interbank, se sumaría a la lista de interesados por la compra de operaciones de la banca minorista y de tarjetas de crédito de Argentina de Citigroup (NYSE:C), según ha informado El Comercio el 7 de julio de 2016.

En concreto, se habría visto a directivos de esta entidad recorriendo sucursales del Citi en Buenos Aires con el objetivo de analizar oportunidades de inversión. Sin embargo, la gerencia de la entidad no ha confirmado tal versión.

Santander (BME: SAN), BBVA (BME: BBVA), HSBC Argentina, Banco Galicia (BCBA: GGAL), Banco Macro (BCBA: BMA), ICBC Argentina, Banco Itaú Argentina y Grupo Supervielle se han sumado al listado de entidades involucradas en la oferta no vinculante de la adquisición de negocios minoristas, sucursales y tarjetas de crédito, unidades que el Citigroup ha anunciado que cerrará en Argentina, además de Brasil y Colombia (ver Intel relacionado).
