Paraguay and Qatar confirmed the progress achieved in the meetings of the first round of negotiations for the signing of an agreement on the promotion and protection of investment between the two parties, announced the Foreign Ministry of Paraguay in a press release issued on 7 November 2016.

The first round, held in Doha, was intended to determine the first guidelines to create the legal framework for investments of both countries.

The next round, to be held in Asunción in 1Q17, will be aimed at discussing the principles and general terms that regulate such agreements.

Paraguay y Qatar han confirmado el progreso de las reuniones de la primera ronda de negociaciones para para la suscripción de un acuerdo de promoción y protección recíproca de inversiones entre ambas partes, según ha informado la Cancillería de Paraguay en un comunicado de prensa publicado el 7 de noviembre de 2016.

La primera ronda, que se ha realizado en Doha ha tenido como objetivo determinar las primeras pautas para crear el marco legal para las inversiones de ambos países.

La próxima ronda, que tendrá lugar en Asunción, en el primer trimestre de 2017, tendrá como fin discutir los principios y términos generales que regulan los acuerdos de ese tipo.
