Mexico’s secretary of energy, Pedro Coldwell, announced that the first auction of the first round of energy tenders will be carried out on 15 July, in a press release issued by the department of energy (Sener) on 19 June, 2015.

Mexico’s national hydrocarbon commission (CNH) will be in charge of the auction.

Coldwell also announced the fields that will be included in the fourth stage of the first round.

This stage will include deepwater and super deepwater fields in the Gulf of Mexico, opposite Tamaulipas. Also included are extra heavy crude fields, where there are 2P (proven and probable) reserves in shallow waters in the Sonda de Campeche.

Coldwell added that Pemex will launch tenders for its farm-out blocks to find partners to contribute capital and technology.

El secretario de energía de México, Pedro Coldwell, ha anunciado que la primera subasta de la Ronda Uno se realizará el 15 de julio en un comunicado de prensa publicado por la secretaría de energía (Sener) el 19 de junio de 2015.

La subasta estará a cargo de la Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos.

Coldwell también ha anunciado los yacimientos que se incluirán en la cuarta fase de la Ronda Uno.

Esta etapa incluirá yacimientos de aguas profundas y superprofundas del Golfo de México, frente a Tamaulipas, campos de crudo extrapesado, donde hay reservas 2P (probadas y probables) en aguas someras de la Sonda de Campeche.

Coldwell también señaló que Pemex licitará sus farm-outs, para buscar socios que aporten capital y tecnología.
