Henkell could be close to acquiring a controlling stake in Freixenet, as published by newspaper La Vanguardia on 28 March 2016, citing financial sources. The offer would value Freixenet at EUR 500m and would have the support of the Hevia Ferrer family, which owns 29% of the shares, and with brothers Eudald and Pere Bonet, who own 14.5%. With this, Henkel would attain a 43.5% stake in Freixenet. José Luis Bonet, Freixenet's president, and his sister Pilar Bonet, would also be thinking of selling, which would be necessary for the deal to go through, since Henkel's condition is the possibility of acquiring at leas 50% of the capital, to gain control.

Henkell estaría ultimando una oferta para adquirir una posición de control en Freixenet, según ha publicado el diario La Vanguardia el 28 de marzo de 2016, basándose en fuentes financieras. La oferta valoraría a Freixenet en unos EUR 500m y contaría con el apoyo de la familia Hevia Ferrer, que posee el 29% de las acciones, y con el de los hermanos Eudald y Pere Bonet, que tienen el 14,5%. Con esto Henkell lograría el 43,5% del capital de Freixenet. José Luis Bonet, presidente de Freixenet, y su hermana Pilar Bonet, también se estarían planteando sumarse a la operación, una premisa necesaria, pues Henkell condiciona su propuesta a tomar más del 50% de la firma catalana para poder ejercer el control. |
