Abengoa (BME:ABG), a Spain-based technology operator in the infrastructure sector, reached an agreement with its creditor banks and funds for the restructuring of its financial debt and its recapitalization, announced the company in a filing published by regulator Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) on 11 August 2016.

Specifically, the total sum provided to the group is EUR 1.17bn.

The group of investors includes Abrams Capital, The Baupost Group, Canyon Capital Advisors, Centerbridge Partners, The D. E. Shaw Group, Elliott Management, Hayfin Capital Management, KKR Credit, Oaktree Capital Management, and Värde. Meanwhile, the credit entities include Banco Popular (BME:POP), Banco Santander (BME:SAN), Bankia (BME:BKIA), Credit Agricole (Euronext Paris:ACA), and CaixaBank (BME:CABK).

Once the plan is put in motion, creditors will control 90% of Abengoa.

Abengoa (BME: ABG), empresa española dedicada a la gestión tecnológica en el sector de infraestructuras, ha alcanzado un acuerdo con sus acreedores, bancos y fondos, para la reestructuración de su deuda financiera y su recapitalización, según ha informado la propia compañía en un hecho relevante remitido a la Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) el 11 de agosto de 2016.

En concreto, el nuevo importe total que se prestará al grupo asciende a EUR 1.170m.

El grupo de inversores incluye a Abrams Capital, The Baupost Group, Canyon Capital Advisors, Centerbridge Partners, The D. E. Shaw Group, Elliott Management, Hayfin Capital Management, KKR Credit, Oaktree Capital Management y Värde. Por su parte, las Entidades de Crédito incluyen a Banco Popular (BME: POP), Banco Santander (BME: SAN), Bankia (BME: BKIA), Crédit Agricole (Euronext Paris: ACA) y CaixaBank (BME:CABK).

Una vez se ponga en marcha el plan, los acreedores controlarán el 90% de Abengoa.
