According to Transactional Track Record's monthly M&A Report, Spain's mergers and acquisitions market closed the first four months of 2020 with 595 transactions and a moved capital of EUR 12.16bn, affected by the COVID-19 health crisis. The report also provides a complete analysis about the most prominent transactions of the cross-border segment, as well as the market's most active sectors, which shows Real Estate remains as the sector with the highest number of deals, with 142 transactions. Meanwhile, both the Private Equity and Venture Capital segments registered a downturn regarding both number of deals and moved capital, comparing with the previous year. The league tables in the last pages of the report reflect the activity of the legal and financial advisors, based on transactions announced in 2020.

PORTUGAL

De acordo com o Relatório do mês de abril do TTR - Transactional Track Record, entre janeiro e abril o mercado português soma 6,47 bilhões de euros transacionados, uma redução de 14,17% comparado ao mesmo período de 2019. O mesmo tipo de análise está disponível nas páginas dedicadas ao capital de risco, onde se observa que o cenário segue positivo para os investimentos de Venture Capital. No âmbito aé possivel identificar os segmentos de atividade mais atrativos para capital estrangeiro, bem como os países de origem dos mesmos.
