In the third quarter of 2016, the M&A market in Latin America has registered an increase of 53% in transactions' value, compared to the same quarter of 2015. The increase in the region occurred despite a 1% decrease in the number of deals, compared to the same period of 2015. Latin America's M&A market is following a constant dynamic in the third quarter, with 496 recorded transactions, of which 245 have a non-confidential deal values that add up to approximately USD 45,848m. Out of the registered transactions, 389 are mergers and acquisitions, 35 are private equity transactions and 72 are venture capital.
