The ministry of foreign affairs of Uruguay announced the signing of a Free Trade Agreement with Chile, which will be carried out in September 2016, reported El Diario on 1 August 2016, citing Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uruguay Rodolfo Nin Novoa.

Specifically, Nin Novoa announced the negotiations are in a very advanced stage and added the signing will materialize in September 2016, aiming to eliminate double taxing between the two countries, as well as avoid paying duties bilaterally.

El Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Uruguay ha anunciado la firma del Tratado de Libre Comercio con Chile, el cual será llevado a cabo en septiembre de 2016, según ha informado El Diario el 1 de agosto de 2016, citando al canciller del Gobierno de Uruguay, Rodolfo Nin Novoa.

En concreto, el ministro de Relaciones Exteriores ha anunciado que las negociaciones están muy avanzadas y que la firma se concretará en septiembre de 2016, con el objetivo de eliminar la doble tributación entre los dos países, así como evitar el pago de aranceles de manera bilateral.
