A group of US-based law firms, headquartered in Miami and part of the Florida Bar Association, will visit Cuba aiming to create the best strategy to operate in the Island, as reported by newspaper América Economía on 25 May 2015. Law firm Akerman is one of the companies interested in entering Cuba. According to Pedro Freyre, Akerman partner, as soon as the Government announced that relations between United States and Cuba were restored, his phone started to ring with inquiries about possibly entering the Cuban market.

Un delegación de firmas legales estadounidenses con oficina en Miami y pertenecientes al Colegio de Abogados de Florida viajarán a Cuba con el objetivo de fijar su mejor estrategia para comenzar a operar en el país caribeño, según un artículo publicado por América Economía el 25 de mayo de 2015. Entre las firmas que tienen previsto acudir a Cuba se encuentra el despacho Akerman. Según Pedro Freyre, partner de Akerman, en el momento en que se anunció el acuerdo para restablecer las relaciones entre Estados Unidos y Cuba, su teléfono empezó a sonar interesándose por una posible entrada al mercado cubano. |
