US-based PPG Industries aims to expand through acquisitions in Brazil

US-based PPG, a manufacturer of paint for vehicles, wants to expand in Brazil. The company registered a turnover of approximately BRL 1,1bn in 2013 in Brazil, and is aiming to have a 15% growth in the next two years. For this reason, the company is investing BRL 200m to increase its factory, in Sumaré, interior of São Paul, and to acquire new companies. According to Carlos Alberto Oliveira, CEO, executives of PPG have been prospecting acquirable companies, in the last five months. The company has set its sights on the car paint and industrial segments.

A americana PPG, fabricante de tintas automotivas, pretende pisar no acelerador no Brasil. A companhia, que faturou cerca de BRL 1,1bi no ano passado no País, quer crescer 15% nos próximos dois anos. Para isso, está investindo BRL 200m na ampliação de sua fábrica, em Sumaré, no interior de São Paulo, e na aquisição de novas empresas. Segundo o CEO Carlos Alberto Oliveira, executivos da PPG estão há cinco meses prospectando empresas a serem compradas. A empresa está de olho em empresas na área de pintura automotiva e também na industrial. |
