UC Rusal, a Russia-based aluminum extraction and treatment company, is said to have agreed to sell 100% of Jamaica-based Alumina Partners to Jiuquan Iron & Steel, a China-based steel and iron product manufacturer, reported Jamaica Observer on 12 February, 2016. Alumina Partners, based in Nain, St. Elizabeth, is a bauxite mining and alumina processing company. The company's plant was closed between 2009 and 2015. UC Rusal gained control over the Jamaica-based company in 2011, after acquiring the remaining 35% stake (see related transaction). The deal is expected to close in 3Q16, according to the report.

UC Rusal, empresa rusa dedicada a la extracción y tratamiento de aluminio, habría acordado la venta del 100% de la jamaicana Alumina Partners a Jiuquan Iron & Steel, fabricante china de productos de acero y hierro, ha publicado Jamaica Observer el 12 de febrero de 2016. Alumina Partners, con sede en Nain, St. Elizabeth, se dedica a la extracción y tratamiento de aluminio. La planta de la empresa estuvo cerrada entre 2009 y 2015. UC Rusal obtuvo el control de la jamaicana en 2011, tras adquirir la participación restante del 35% (ver transacción relacionada).
