A Turkish AIrlines anunciou que começará a operar vôos que ligarão as cidades de Maputo, Moçambique e Istambul, na Turquia, no próximo mês de outubro A notícia foi veiculada em 8 de maio de 2015 pelo portal MacauHub. Atualmente as companhias que operam neste trecho são pelas companhias Ethiopian Airlines, Kenya Airways. Além disso, várias companhias aéreas estabelecem ligações com Maputo, incluindo a TAP Air Portugal, Qatar Airways e South African Airways, sendo que apenas a TAP tem ligação directa com a Europa, via Lisboa, numa operação de “code-share” com a companhia Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM). A companhia turca opera no mercado desde 1933 e é membro a aliança aérea Star Alliance. |
