Tivit planning spin off

Tivit, a São-Paulo based private equity-backed technology firm, is planning to spin off its call center and business process outsourcing division into a new company called Neobpo, reported Valor Econômico on 23 November 2016, citing Tivit President Luiz Mattar. The company's technology division, which includes data centers, cloud services, and transaction-related operations, will remain under the Tivit name. The changes will take effect starting 1 January 2017. Mattar noted splitting the divisions will allow each to focus more on its operations, particularly in the case of the spin-off, which was beginning to be suffocated by the size of Tivit's technology business. Neobpo will have a staff of 20,000 employees and will be led by Marco Lupi. Mattar will remain Tivit President and Chairman of the Board and Neobpo Chairman of the Board.
