Spain-based Telefónica (BME:TEF; LSE: TDE; BVL: TEF; BCBA: TEF) could carry out an IPO for its subsidiary of mobile telephone towers, as reported by news agency Bloomberg on 10 December 2015. This subsidiary has 60,000 towers in Spain, Germany and Latin America, and Spain-based Cellnex Telecom (BME: CLNX) might be interested in acquiring some of them. With this deal, Telefónica could monetize its assets and obtain alternative resources to reduce its debt and to invest.

La española Telefónica (BME:TEF; LSE: TDE; BVL: TEF; BCBA: TEF) podría realizar una IPO con su filial de torres de telefonía movil, según ha reportado el medio Bloomberg el 10 de diciembre de 2015. La filial de torres de telefonía movil está compuesta por 60.000 torres en España, Alemania y Latinoamérica. La empresa española Cellnex Telecom (BME: CLNX) podría estar interesada en la adquisición de una parte de ellas. Con esta propuesta, Telefónica buscaría rentabilizar sus activos y obtener recursos alternativos para reducir deuda y contar con capital para invertir. |
