Talenta Gestión, a Spain-based brokerage firm, created Mastertech Capital with an investment capacity of EUR 6.3m, reported Expansión on 15 December 2016, citing Mastertech Capital President Jordi Jofre.

The new firm aims to invest both in large and small companies, as in venture capital funds of other companies focused on technological start-ups. Although the company expects to launch operations in January 2017, it will not close the fundraising process until the summer of the same year, when it estimates to reach EUR 10m.

A year and a half ago, Talenta already launched Sirocco Capital (see related intel), a private equity firm for wind farm investment.

Talenta Gestión, agencia de valores española, ha constituido Mastertech Capital, sociedad de capital riesgo con una capacidad de inversión de EUR 6,3m, según ha informado Expansión el 15 de diciembre de 2016, citando al presidente de Mastertech Capital, Jordi Jofre.

La firma sale al mercado con el objetivo de invertir tanto en grandes y pequeñas empresas, como en fondos de capital riesgo de terceras firmas centradas en start ups tecnológicas. Aunque la sociedad prevé empezar a operar en enero de 2017, no cerrará el proceso de fundraising hasta verano del mismo año, cuando calcula llegar a un máximo de EUR 10m.

Hace un año y medio, Talenta ya lanzó Siroco Capital (ver intel relacionado), firma de private equity para invertir en parques eólicos.
