According to Deputy Minister of Mines of Peru, Guillermo Shinno, US-based mining company Southern Copper could acquire Anglo American's stake in Peru-based Quellaveco mine. Although the entities have not confirmed this transaction, sources estimate that through this deal Southern Copper could control the Peruvian mine.
