South Korea and six Central American countries began negotiations to sign a bilateral free trade treaty, as published by newspaper Processo on 20 September 2015. The six Central American countries are: El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Honduras. Trade between South Korea and Central America has grown at an annual average rate of 16%, over the last 20 years, according to CAF (Development Bank of Latin America).
