Portugal-based Sonae SR, headquartered in Oporto, opened its first two stores with brand MI in Saudi Arabia. According to company's CEO, Miguel Mota Freitas, in a statement published by newspaper Público on 15 June 2015, the new stores are part of the company's strategy to take its brands to the largest number of families in the world. With these new outlets, Sonae has MO stores in five countries outside Portugal: Saudi Arabia, Romania, Czech Republic, France and Belgium.

Segundo divulgou o CEO da Sonae SR, Miguel Mota Freitas, para o jornal Público no dia 15 de junho de 2015, a nova abertura faz parte da estratégia da empresa de levar suas marcas para o maior número de famílias por todo o mundo. Com esses dois novos pontos de venda a Sonae passa a operar com a MO em cinco países fora de Portugal, além de Arábia Saudita, possui lojas na Roménia, República Checa, França e Bélgica. |
