Belgium-based Solvay (Euronext Brussels:SOLB), engaged in chemical-industrial industry, opened its first industrial biotechnology laboratory in São Paulo, Brazil, as published by magazine Exame Abril on 2 June 2015. With this new laboratory, the company plans to reach solutions from sustainable chemistry. According to Solvay's director of Research and Innovation group, Louis Neltner, the reason for choosing Brazil is its climate, which is good for a large variety and quantity of plants and vegetables that can provide biomass-derived molecules.

A companhia belga Solvay (Euronext Brussels:SOLB) com sede em Bruxelas atuante no setor químico-industrial, abriu na cidade de Paulínia, no estado de São Paulo, Brasil, o seu primeiro laboratório dedicado exclusivamente à biotecnologia industrial, segundo saiu publicado na revista Exame Abril no dia 2 de junho de 2015. O objetivo do novo laboratório é atingir soluções procedentes de uma química sustentável. Segundo divulgou o diretor-geral do grupo de Pesquisa e Inovação da Solvay, Louis Neltner, a razão da escolha do Brasil é o clima que permite que existam na região uma grande variedade e quantidade de plantas e vegetais, de onde obter as moléculas derivadas da biomassa. |
