GIC, Singapore's sovereign fund, and UK-based CVC Capital Partners are said to be forging an alliance to submit a joint bid for a stake of up to 49% in Telefónica (BME:TEF) subsidiary Telmex, reported The Times on 29 January 2017, citing financial sources.

According to the report, Telxius is worth around EUR 3.75bn and the alliance between Singapore and CVC would invest approximately GBP 1.5bn so that the two partners could get a stake close to 47% of the company.

Other potential buyers include France-based private equity firm Ardian, US-based KKR (NYSE:KKR), Spain-based Cellnex Telecom (BME:CLNX), and US-based American Towers (NYSE:AMT).

GIC, fondo soberano de Singapur, y el fondo de private equity luxemburgués CVC Capital Partners podrían establecer una alianza para presentar una oferta conjunta por una participación de hasta el 49% de Telxius, la filial de Telefónica (BME:TEF), según ha informado The Times, el 29 de enero de 2017, citando a fuentes financieras.

Telxius está valorada en unos EUR 3.750m y la alianza entre Singapur y CVC podría invertir alrededor de GBP 1.500m, por lo que los dos socios se harían con una participación cercana al 47% de la compañía.

Entre otros posibles compradores están la firma de private equity francesa Ardian, KKR (NYSE: KKR), con sede en Estados Unidos, Cellnex Telecom (BME: CLNX) y American Towers (NYSE: AMT).
