Siemens plans expansion in Portugal and entry in Portuguese Africa

Germany-based Siemens, through its CEO, informed due to company's good performance, specifically in the transport sector, it plans to expand in Portugal, as reported by newspaper Económico on 14 May 2015. In addition, Siemens plans to enter Portuguese-speaking African markets, from Portugal, such as Angola and Mozambique. The company informed it would be interested in several areas of the transport sector, whenever the tender fits Siemens investment criteria. Siemens said it is ready for higher levels of complexity, which are expected in tenders at a global level.

A alemã Siemens através de seu CEO, informou ao diário português Económico em 14 de maio de 2015, que devido ao bom desempenho obtido pela companhia, nomeadamente pelo seu setor de transportes, prevê expansão no mercado português. Além disso, existe a intenção de, a partir de Portugal, entrar nos países africanos de língua portuguesa, Angola e Moçambique. A companhia indicou que estaria interessada em vários campos possíveis no setor dos transportes, sempre que o concurso estiver encaixado nos critérios de investimento da Siemens. A Siemens informou estar preparada para os níveis mais altos de complexidade que se prevêem a nível global nos concursos. |
