Sercotel, a Spain-based hotel chain, arrived in Panama for the first time with the opening of its new Sercotel Panamá Princess hotel, reported Empresa Exterior on 20 July 2016. The arrival in the Latin American country is part of the company's international expansion strategy. Sercotel General Managing Partner Javier Garro explained that, during 2016, the company has not only entered new Latin American markets, such as Cuba, Ecuador, and Panama, and European markets, such as Milan and Turin, but also increased its presence in the countries where it already operated, such as Colombia, with the opening of new hotels.

Sercotel, cadena hotelera española, llega por primera vez a Panamá con la apertura de su nuevo hotel Sercotel Panamá Princess, según ha publicado el medio Empresa Exterior el día 20 de julio de 2016. El desembarco en el país latinoamericano forma parte de la estrategia de expansión e internacionalización que está llevando a cabo la empresa. Tal y como relata Javier Garro, socio-director general de Sercotel, a lo largo de este año, 2016, no solo han entrado en nuevos mercados latinoamericanos, Cuba, Ecuador y Panamá, y europeos, Milán y Turín, sino que también han aumentando su presencia mediante la inauguración de nuevos hoteles en aquellos países donde ya operaban, como es el caso de Colombia. |
