The department of energy (Sener) of Mexico presented the call of the second stage of round two (Ronda 2) of oil tenders, comprised of 12 land blocks, reported El Economista on 23 August 2016, citing Mexican Secretary of Energy Pedro Joaquín Coldwell. Specifically, Coldwell noted the blocks are larger than those tendered in Ronda 1 and cover between 340 and 480 km2. Of the 12 blocks, nine are located in Cuenca de Burgos, two in Cinturón Plegado de Chiapas, and one in Cuencas del Sureste. The secretary added 10 blocks already have infrastructure, so they are ready to launch operations in short and begin production in 2018. The Sener hopes this stage will attract an investment of USD 5bn. The result of the tender will be announced on 7 April 2017.

La Secretaría de Energía (Sener) de México ha presentado la convocatoria de la segunda fase de la Ronda 2 de licitaciones petroleras, compuesta por 12 bloques terrestres, ha publicado El Economista el 23 de agosto de 2016, citando al secretario de energía, Pedro Joaquín Coldwell. En concreto, Coldwell ha señalado que los bloques son más grandes que los licitados en la Ronda 1 y abarcan entre los 340 y 480 km2. De los 12 bloques, nueve están ubicados en la Cuenca de Burgos, dos en el Cinturón Plegado de Chiapas y uno en las Cuencas del Sureste. El secretario ha añadido que 10 de los bloques ya tiene infraestructura, por lo que están listas para el comienzo de operaciones a la brevedad y la primera producción en 2018. La Sener espera que esta fase atraiga una inversión de USD 5.000m. El resultado de la licitación se anunciará el 7 de abril de 2017. |
