Scotiabank Chile, a Santiago-based banking institution, and Principal Financial Group (NYSE:PFG), a Des Moines, Iowa-based financial institution, signed a distribution alliance for a five-year period, reported Diario Financiero on 8 September 2016, citing Scotiabank Chile CEO Francisco Sardón.

Under the alliance, Scotiabank Chile will begin offering savings and investment products of Principal Financial Group to its customers. Specifically, Scotiabank's investment executives will offer advice and sale of mutual and insurance funds belonging to Ahorro Previsional Voluntario (APV) of the US-based institution.

The alliance may be extended and expanded in the future with new business lines.

Scotiabank Chile, entidad bancaria con sede en Santiago, y Principal Financial Group (NYSE:PFG), entidad financiera con sede en Des Moines, Iowa, han establecido una alianza de distribución con una duración de cinco años, ha publicado Diario Financiero el 8 de septiembre de 2016, citando al CEO de Scotiabank Chile, Francisco Sardón.

Con esta alianza, Scotiabank Chile comenzará a ofrecer a sus clientes productos de ahorro e inversión de Principal Financial Group. En concreto, los ejecutivos de inversión de Scotiabank ofrecerán asesoría y venta de fondos mutuos y seguros de Ahorro Previsional Voluntario (APV) de la entidad estadounidense.

La alianza podrá ser extendida y ampliada en un futuro con nuevas líneas de negocios.
