Sareb, a Madrid-based banking assets management entity, may be selling a portfolio worth EUR 1bn comprised of unpaid credits granted to real estate developers, in the so-called Proyecto Silk, reported Expansion on 11 August, 2015. Spain-based Haya Real Estate, a subsidiary of USD-based private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management will be in charge of the transaction. In December 2012, Haya became responsible for the management and sale of 52,000 real estate loans.

La empresa española Sareb podría haber puesto a la venta una cartera valorada en EUR 1.000m de créditos impagados concedidos a promotores inmobiliarios, en lo que se conocería como Proyecto Silk, según ha reportado el diario Expansión el 11 de agosto de 2015. La operación sería gestionada por Haya Real Estate, compañía controlada por el private equity estadounidense Cerberus Capital Management, que resultó adjudicataria en diciembre de 2012 de la administración y venta de 52.000 préstamos vinculados al sector inmobiliario. |
