Santander Brasil (BVMF: SANB11), a financial institution, will make a binding offer for the retail banking and credit card operation of Citigroup (NYSE: C) in Brazil, reported Exame on 27 July, 2016, citing the bank's Chief Executive, Sergio Rial. Sergio Rial informed that it is possible the company making an offer for the business. Banco Safra, a financial entity based in Sao Paulo, would also be interested in the retail operations of Citibank Brasil (see Intel related).
