Sabadell Asset Management, controlled by Banco Sabadell (BME:SAB), launched a venture capital fund for its customers interested in investing in startups, reported Expansión on 6 February 2017, citing Banco Sabadell Deputy Managing Director and Sabadell Asset Management Head Cirus Andreu. Through the new vehicle, Sabadell Selection Ventures I, the firm already raised EUR 30m. Selection Ventures will not directly acquire stakes in companies, but will invest the resources raised in European funds specializing in managing this type of investments. Currently, Sabadell Asset Management manages over EUR 23bn-worth of assets.

Sabadell Asset Management, gestora de Banco Sabadell (BME:SAB), ha lanzado un fondo de capital riesgo destinado a sus clientes interesados en invertir en startups, según ha informado Expansión el 6 de febrero de 2017, citando al subdirector general de Banco Sabadell y responsable de la gestora, Cirus Andreu. A través del nuevo vehículo, Sabadell Selección Ventures I, la firma ya ha levantado EUR 30m. Selección Ventures no tomará participaciones directamente en empresas, sino que invertirá los recursos levantados en fondos europeos especializados en gestionar este tipo de inversiones. Actualmente, Sabadell Asset Management gestiona más de EUR 23.000m de patrimonio. |
