Spain-based Repsol (BME: REP) is considering the sale of its butane home delivery business, valued at approximately EUR 1bn, as published by El Confidencial on 9 September 2015, based on company's internal sources.

The sale is only one of Repsol's options. It would complement the company's cost reduction plan of approximately EUR 1.2bn, to cope with oil prices drop and to deal comfortably with any threat from rating agencies to lower financial ratings.

La empresa española Repsol (BME: REP) está sopesando vender su negocio de butano a domicilio, valorado en aproximadamente EUR 1.000m, según ha comunicado El Confidencial en una información del 9 de septiembre de 2015, basada en fuentes internas de la compañía.

La venta, que es únicamente una de las opciones que se manejan, complementaría un programa de ahorro de gastos que tiene en marcha la compañía por importe de EUR 1.200m, con el objetivo de hacer frente a la bajada de los precios del petróleo y afrontar con comodidad cualquier amenaza de las agencias de rating para rebajarle calificación financiera.
