Spain-based hotel REIT BAY, result of the merger of Hispania Real (BME: HIS) and Grupo Barceló, considers carrying out acquisitions in Spain, mainly in the Canary Islands, Balearic Islands and on the coast. The company is looking for new partners, as reported by newspaper Cinco Dias on 13 May 2015. The purpose of these acquisitions is to achieve a critical mass that will enable the company to go public on the MAB, and later on the continuous market. At the moment, the vehicle has 11 hotels and 3,946 rooms, extendable to another 2,151 rooms, due to an agreement with Barceló, which represents an investment of EUR 421m. This dimension should be raised to EUR 1,000m to go public.

La SOCIMI hotelera española BAY, fruto de la unión de Hispania Real (BME: HIS) y Grupo Barceló, está estudiando llevar a cabo compras en España, en concreto en Canarias, Baleares y en las costas. Para ello buscaría la entrada de nuevos socios, según ha informado el diario Cinco Días el día 13 de mayo de 2015. La finalidad que le lleva a la adquisición de más activos inmobiliarios es llegar a conseguir una masa crítica que le permita debutar en el MAB y más adelante en el mercado continuo. Por el momento, el vehículo cuenta con 11 hoteles y 3.946 habitaciones, ampliables en otras 2.151 más, gracias al acuerdo con Barceló, que ha supuesto una inversión de EUR 421m. Una dimensión que debería elevarse hasta los EUR 1.000m para poder dar el salto al parqué. |
