Procafecol, a Bogota, Colombia-based Colombian coffee marketing company, registered an 82% increase in its net profits in 1Q16, announced the company in a filing published by regulator Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia on 30 May, 2016.

The company, which represents the Juan Valdez brand and is part of the Federación Nacional de Cafeteros, announced that in 1Q16 its profits were USD 0.58m, as opposed to the USD 0.32m obtained between January and March 2015.

With regards to its expansion strategy, Procafecol noted in 1Q16 the company opened three new Juan Valdez stores in Colombia and another seven abroad, which are added to its 347 premium shops, 232 in Colombia and 115 abroad.

Procafecol, empresa dedicada a la comercialización de café colombiano con sede en Bogotá, ha registrado un aumento del 82% en sus utilidades netas durante el primer trimestre de 2016, según ha informado la compañía en un hecho relevante remitido a la Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia el 30 de mayo de 2016.

La empresa, que representa la marca Juan Valdez y que hace parte de la Federación Nacional de Cafeteros, ha reportado que para el primer trimestre de 2016 las utilidades han sumado USD 0,58m, frente a USD 0,32m obtenidos entre enero y marzo de 2015.

En cuanto a la estrategia de expansión, Procafecol ha destacado que en el primer trimestre la firma ha abierto tres tiendas Juan Valdez en Colombia y siete más en el exterior, las cuales se suman a los 347 locales tipo premium, 232 en Colombia y 115 en el exterior.
