El grupo de medios español Prisa ha otorgado a sus acreedores una opción de compra sobre el 75% de la editorial Grupo Santillana, que podrán ejecutar si incumple sus compromisos de reducción de deuda.

Prisa se ha comprometido a devolver EUR 900m en 2015 y EUR 600m en 2016, para lo que no descarta la recompra de su propia deuda con descuentos o el traspaso de deuda desde la matriz a las filiales del grupo.
