Spain-based Banco Santander, through Portugal-based Banco Santander Totta, could be negotiating a joint venture with Dutch insurance company Aegon to manage a group of life and general insurance policies in Portugal. If this deal materializes, Aegon will acquire a 51% stake in the new company and Banco Santander Totta will hold 49%. The saving, health and car insurance products should not be included in this deal; these will be retained by the bank or transferred to another company.

La entidad financiera española Banco Santander estaría negociando con la aseguradora Aegon la creación de una joint venture para gestionar de manera conjunto los seguros generales y de vida en Portugal. De concretarse la operación, Aegon adquiriría el 51% de la nueva entidad mientras que el 49% del accionariado restante quedaría en manos de la filial lusa Banco Santander Totta. Quedarían fuera del acuerdo los productos de ahorro, salud y automóviles, cuya comercialización la mantendrá el banco o podría asignar a otra firma.

A espanhola Banco Santander, por meio do Banco Santander Totta, estaria negociando com a seguradora holandesa Aegon a criação de uma joint venture para gerir de maneira conjunto os seguros gerais e de vida em Portugal. Se a transação for realizada, a Aegon adquirirá 51% da nova entidade e 49% restantes serão do Banco Santander Totta. Estariam fora deste acordo os produtos de poupança, saúde e automóveis, cuja comercialização será mantida pelo banco ou será passada a outra empresa. |
