The government of Peru plans to tender a gas pipeline project in late 2015, reported Reuters Latin America on 27 May, 2015, citing the deputy minister of energy and mines, Raúl Pérez. The project will entail the construction of a 250-kilometer liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) pipeline running from Pisco to Lima at a cost of USD 250m. The project is aimed to prevent gas shortages, like the one Peru is experiencing following the rupture of a strategic pipeline and poor weather that temporarily disrupted production in the Camisea field.

El gobierno de Perú planea licitar a fines de 2015 la construcción de un gasoducto, ha publicado Reuters América Latina el 27 de mayo de 2015, citando al viceministro de Energía y Minas, Raúl Pérez. El proyecto conllevará la construcción de un ducto de 250 kilómetros para transportar gas licuado de petróleo (GLP) de una planta en Pisco hacia Lima y requeriría una inversión de USD 250m. La decisión de licitar esta obra es consecuencia de desabastecimiento que está sufriendo Perú por la ruptura de un gasoducto clave y problemas climatológicos que redujeron la producción en el campo de Camisea temporalmente. |
