Omega Energia, a Minas Gerais, Brazil-based wind and hydro power generation company, is considering expansion through acquisitions, reported Valor Econômico on 3 February 2017, citing the company's president Antonio Bastos. According to Bastos, the company is seeking projects close to those obtained in generation auctions, but its focus continues to be building and developing. Omega Energia, held by Tarpon and Warburg Pincus funds, will complete an investment of BRL 1.5bn in the first wind farm in Maranhão this semester. The company will reach approximately 500 megawatts (MW) of installed power.

A Omega Energia, empresa com sede me Minas Gerais, que atua na geração de energia eólica e hidráulica, avalia crescer por meio de aquisições, segundo publicou o Valor Econômico no dia 03 de fevereiro de 2017, citando o presidente da empresa, Antonio Bastos. Segundo Bastos, a companhia avalia aquisições de projetos que tenham retornos adequados e próximos dos obtidos em leilões de geração, mas o foco da empresa continua sendo construir e desenvolver. A Omega Energia, controlada pelos fundos Tarpon e Warburg Pincus, vai concluir neste semestre um investimento de BRL 1,5bi no primeiro parque eólico do Maranhão. Com isso, a empresa alcançará aproximadamente 500 megawatts (MW) de potência instalada. |
