Brazilian telecommunications company Oi (BVMF:OIBR4;NYSE:TNE) received an offer for a USD 4bn investment from Luxembourg-based private equity firm LetterOne, as reported by the company through a relevant fact published on 26 October 2015.

This possible investment has been a market speculation over the last two weeks. (see related intel)

According to LetterOne's proposal, the investment is tied to the consolidation of the telecommunications industry in Brazil, involving a potential business agreement with TIM Participações.

This proposal will be analyzed by Oi, together with its legal and financial advisors, including Banco BTG Pactual (BVMF: BPAC3).

A empresa de telecomunicações Oi (BVMF:OIBR4;NYSE:TNE) recebeu uma oferta de um aporte de capital no valor de USD 4bi da private equity com sede em Luxemburgo, LetterOne, segundo publicou a própria Oi em Fato Relevante do dia 26 de outubro de 2015.

A possível pela private equity já era especulada pelo mercado a cerca de duas semanas (ver Intel relacionado).

De acordo com a proposta da LetterOne, o investimento está condicionado com a consolidação do setor de telecomunicações no mercado brasileiro envolvendo uma potencial combinação de negócios com a TIM Participações.

A proposta será devidamente analisada pela Companhia, em conjunto com seus assessores legais e financeiros, que incluem o Banco BTG Pactual (BVMF:BPAC3).
