OAS puts companies up for sale in judicial recovery process
OAS coloca empresas a venda por recuperação judicial
Intel ID : 223870
| Synopsis |
| Grupo OAS filed an application with Judicial Recovery Court of São Paulo, regarding nine of its companies. The initiative was the best path found by the Group to renegotiate its debt with creditors and suppliers due to intense credit restrictions since the end of last year. According to Construtora OAS's Corporate Development Director, Diego Barreto, the company will sell its assets through a judicial reorganization process to reassure investors that there will not be at risk of business being disputed in court by OAS's creditors. This sale is also driven by a decision to prioritize the Group's core business, which is Construtora OAS, engaged in heavy construction. This sale will include OAS's sahre in Invepar (24.44% of the capital), a stake in Estaleiro Enseada (17.5%), OAS Empreendimentos (80%), OAS Soluções Ambientais (100%), OAS Óleo e Gás (61%) and OAS Defesa (100%). In addition, the company will also negotiate the sale of Arena Fonte Nova (50%) and Arena das Dunas (100%).
