Nueva Pescanova, empresa con sede en Galicia que se dedica a la producción y comercialización de pescado congelado, podría haber puesto a la venta una Unidade de Acuicultura en Portugal, según ha publicado el Jornal de Noticias el día 7 de julio de 2016. Según la noticia, la empresa, actualmente en pre-concurso de acreedores, quiere vender su Unidad de Acuicultura en Mira debido a que considera que es un proyecto no estratégico que le reporta pérdidas.
