Portuguese bank Novo Banco's sale could be carried out partially, superior to 50% of the capital, at first, and the remaining sharecapital at a later time to a new shareholder or through Stock Market, as published by newspaper Económico on 15 September 2015. The previous plan was to sell 100% of the capital, but recent negotiations with Apollo Management International, Fosun and Anbang Insurance Group were not accepted by Banco de Portugal. The sale was delayed. (see related intel) The companies confirmed they could bid again. Spanish groups CaixaBank and Sabadell proposed mergers, and these are an option that could be considered, since these companies were among the initial candidates in the sale process.

A venda da instituição financeira lusa Novo Banco, poderá ser parcial, superior a 50%, com o restante do capital a ser alienado posteriormente ao novo acionista ou a ser disperso em bolsa, segundo publicou o jornal Económico no dia 15 de setembro de 2015. Anteriormente estava prevista a alienação de 100% do capital social, mas as recentes negociações com a Apollo Management International, Fosun e Anbang Insurance Group não foram aceitas pelo Banco de Portugal e a venda foi adiada (ver intels relacionados). As empresas confirmaram que poderão a voltar a concorrer pelo banco posteriormente. A participação dos grupos espanhóis CaixaBank e Sabadell, com propostas de fusão, também é um opção que o mercado poderia estar considerando, já que as empresas chegaram a estar entre os candidatos no inicio do processo de venda. |
