Guatemala’s exports sector and Philadelphia’s port operator, Holt Logistics, created a new route between Philadelphia and Guatemala, reported Prensa Libre on 8 August, 2015. Currently, most Guatemalan products arriving in North East US enter through Florida to be transported north via land, resulting in high logistical costs. With the new route, it is expected that transportation prices to these regions and export productivity will improve considerably

El sector exportador de Guatemala en coordinación con Holt Logistics (Puerto de Filadelfia) han creado una nueva ruta Filadelfia- Guatemala, según ha informado el diario Prensa Libre el 8 de agosto de 2015. En la actualidad los productos guatemaltecos que llegan al noreste de Estados Unidos entran en su gran mayoría por medio del Estado de Florida, para ser transportados posteriormente vía terrestre al norte, lo cual resulta en costos elevados para la logística de los productos. Con este nuevo servicio se espera mejorar los precios de transporte a estas regiones de manera considerable y mejorar la productividad de sus exportaciones. |
