According to the news, the company invested USD 150m in Brazil in 2015, and the investments will still be large next year. "If an interesting opportunity arose in Brazil, Monsanto would surely consider it, especially if it is within our vision of what agriculture will be in the next few years", said Rodrigo Santos.

A norte-americana Monsanto, empresa especializada em biotecnologia aplicada ao setor de agricultura, estaria aberta a aquisições no Brasil, segundo publicou a Exame no dia 10 de dezembro de 2015, citando o principal executivo da empresa no Brasil, Rodrigo Santos. Segundo a notícia, a empresa investiu USD 150m no Brasil em 2015, e os aportes continuarão bastante elevados no próximo ano. "Se surgisse uma oportunidade no Brasil bastante interessante, a Monsanto seguramente consideraria, principalmente se ela estiver dentro da nossa visão do que vai ser a agricultura nos próximos anos", afirmou Rodrigo Santos. |
