Millicon (NYSE: MICC), a Luxembourg-based telecommunications company, announced its interest to acquire Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá (BVC: ETB), as published by newspaper La República on 3 May 2016, citing its CEO, Mauricio Ramos. After only five days, since Bogotá district requested permission to sell a 86.59% stake in Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá (see related transaction), multinational Millicom, a shareholder of TigoUNE, announced its interest in acquiring the company. The company said its interest lies in ETB's portfolio of clients, which exceeds 1.4 million users and the possible expansion of its network to include the market in this region.

Millicon (NYSE: MICC), empresa de telecomunicaciones con sede en Luxemburgo, ha manifestado su potencial interés en la compra de la Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá (BVC: ETB), según ha informado el diario La República el 3 de mayo de 2016 en entrevista con el CEO de Millicom, Mauricio Ramos. Tras sólo cinco días desde que el Distrito de Bogotá pidiera autorización para vender su participación de 86,59% en la Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogotá (ver Intel relacionado), la multinacional Millicom, accionista de TigoUNE, manifiesta su interés en la compra de esta compañía. La firma ha manifestado que les llama la atención la base de clientes de la ETB, que supera los 1,4 millones y la posible ampliación de una de sus redes para expandir su mercado en la región. |
