Synopsis

The government of Mexico will launch tenders in the energy, telecommunications, and infrastructure sectors during 2016, which could represent USD 32bn in investments, reported El Financiero on 24 January, 2016, citing Mexican officials.

In energy, the government will tender 1,230 km of power transmission lines in 1Q16, announced secretary of energy Pedro Coldwell. The project will require investments for USD 13.4bn. Also planned is the tender of four gas pipelines, with an estimated investment of USD 2bn.

In telecommunications, the department of transport and communications (SCT) will tender the wholesale shared network (see related intel) on 29 January, which entails an investment of USD 10bn. The government will also tender 310 radio stations, which would represent an investment of USD 10bn.

In infrastructure, the government will launch in March the second package of tenders for the new international airport of the City of Mexico (NAICM), with investments for approximately USD 3.2bn. It will also tender 12 roadways between January and February, announced assistant secretary of infrastructure of the SCT, Raúl Murrieta, with investments for USD 766m.

El gobierno de México lanzará durante 2016 licitaciones en los sectores de energía, telecomunicaciones e infraestructura, que representarían USD 32.000m en inversiones, ha publicado El Financiero el 24 de enero de 2016, citando a funcionarios mexicanos.

En energía, se licitará durante el primer trimestre de 2016 la construcción de 1.230 km de líneas de transmisión eléctrica, ha anunciado el secretario de energía Pedro Colwell. Este proyecto requerirá inversiones por USD 13.400m. También está prevista la licitación de cuatro gasoductos, con una inversión estimada de más de USD 2.000m.

En telecomunicaciones, la Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes (SCT) licitará la red compartida mayorista (ver intel relacionado) el 29 de enero, que conllevaría una inversión de USD 10.000m. También se licitarán 310 estaciones de radio, que representarían una inversión de USD 10.000m.

En infraestructura, se espera para marzo el segundo paquete de licitaciones del Nuevo Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México (NAICM), con inversiones por aproximadamente USD 3.200m. También se licitarán 12 carreteras entre enero y febrero, ha anunciado el subsecretario de infraestructura de la SCT, Raúl Murrieta, con inversiones por USD 766m.
