The department of energy (Sener) of Mexico plans to launch the first tender to build and operate power transmission lines in June 2016, reported El Financiero on 20 April, 2016, citing Mexico's secretary of energy, Pedro Coldwell. The transmission lines will be built and operated by private companies in partnership with the state-owned federal electricity commission (CFE) and will require an investment of approximately USD 1.2bn. The first tender will be for a 600-kilometer high-voltage direct current line, from Istmo de Tehuantepec, Oaxaca, to the center of Mexico. The second tender would be launched at the end of 2016 or beginning of 2017 and will extend for 700 kilometers, from Sonora to Baja California.

La Secretaría de Energía (Sener) de México planea lanzar la primera licitación para construir y operar líneas de transmisión eléctrica en junio de 2016, ha publicado El Financiero el 20 de abril de 2016, citando al secretario de energía mexicano, Pedro Coldwell. Las líneas de transmisión serían construidas y operadas por empresas privadas en alianza con la estatal Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) y requerirán una inversión aproximada de USD 1.200m. La primera licitación será para una línea de corriente directa de alto voltaje de 600 km, que irá del Istmo de Tehuantepec, Oaxaca, hacia el centro de México. La segunda se lanzaría a fines de 2016 o principios de 2017 y recorrería 700 km de Sonora a Baja California. |
