Synopsis

Mexico and the European Union will meet in January 2016 to begin discussing the update of the Free Trade Agreement between the regions, reported Milenio on 10 September, 2015, citing ministry of economy, Idelfonso Guajardo.

Guajardo noted Mexico seeks to enter Europe's agricultural market, deepen the services agreement, introduce the electronic trade topic, improve trade facilitation and the rules for productive integration.

The FTA between Mexico and the EU was signed 15 years ago.

México y la Unión Europea se reunirán en enero de 2016 para comenzar las conversaciones para actualizar el Tratado de Libre Comercio entre las regiones, ha publicado Milenio el 10 de septiembre de 2015, citando al secretario de economía, Idelfonso Guajardo.

Guajardo ha señalado que México quiere ingresar en el mercado agrícola europeo, profundizar el acuerdo de servicios, abordar el tema del comercio electrónico, mejorar la facilitación de comercio y las normas para la integración productiva.

El TLC entre México y Europa se firmó hace 15 años.
