Marfrig, a Brazil-based manufacturer of animal feed, namely cattle, pork, poultry and fish, will start to operate in a new segment in Brazil: the pet food market. This new activity will be developed under brand Bonapet, and will require a BRL 1.5m investment, because with this new activity the company needs to modernize the Itupeva plant. Although at first, the products produced in the plant will be for dogs, such as hamburgers, chewable beef bones, steaks and snacks, later on the company wants to produce food for cats.

A companhia brasileira Marfrig dedicada à fabricação de alimentos de carnes bovina, suína, de aves e peixes, vai começar a atuar no Brasil num novo segmento, o setor da alimentação para os animais domésticos. A nova atividade vai ser desenvolvida baixo a marca Bonapet e vai supor um investimento de BRL 1,5m para a empresa devido a que para a restruturação da atividade precisa de modernizar a fábrica que possui em Itupeva. Ainda que no início os produtos que vai oferecer serão só os destinados a cães como hambúrgueres, osso bovinos mastigáveis, petiscos e bifes, mais adiante pretende virar sua produção também para os gatos. |
