Lomas Bayas copper mine, held by Switzerland-based Glencore, may have new interested buyers, as published by newspaper Diario Finanaciero on 17 March 2016. Besides Chile-based Copec's interest in this acquisition (see related intel), Aaron Regent, former CEO of Barrick Gold, also showed interest in acquiring this asset since the beginning of the sale process. Despite these offers, Lomas Bayas has not announced any decision, although it is estimated the process will conclude in the first semester of 2016.

Nuevos ofertantes podrían estar interesados en la adquisición de la mina de cobre Lomas Bayas, propiedad de la suiza Glencore, según ha informado Diario Financiero el 17 de marzo de 2016. Además del interés de adquisición de la firma chilena Copec (ver Intel relacionado), también se encuentra Aaron Regent, ex CEO de Barrick Gold, que ha estado interesado en el activo desde el proceso de enajenación. Pese a la existencia de las ofertas, Lomas Bayas aún no ha comunicado ninguna decisión, aunque se espera que se cierre el proceso en el primer semestre de 2016. |
