BTG Pactual de Chile, a bank based in Santiago de Chile, announced the possible sale of stake held by Julio Ponce Lerou in SQM, a Chilean chemical and mining company, to a Chinese investor, as published by newspaper El Mercurio on 19 May 2016. Specifically, the bank reaffirmed its recommendation to acquire securities of Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile (SQM), after the disclosure of the company's financial statement of 1Q 2016. In a report sent to clients, BTG warned that the next important milestoneswill be the sale of Julio Ponce Lerou's shares, and the progress of lithium project Cauchari-Olaroz in northern Argentina, which will require an investment of USD 600m for probable launch in 2019.

BTG Pactual de Chile, entidad financiera con sede en Santiago, ha informado que la venta de la participación accionaria de Julio Ponce Lerou en SQM, empresa química y minera chilena, se realizaría posiblemente a un inversor chino, según ha informado El Mercurio el 19 de mayo de 2016. En concreto, la entidad financiera ha reafirmado su recomendación de comprar títulos de la Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile (SQM), luego de conocerse los resultados del primer trimestre de 2016. En un informe enviado a clientes, el banco ha advertido que los próximos hitos relevantes para la acción serán la venta de la participación accionaria de Julio Ponce Lerou, y el avance del proyecto de litio Caucharí-Olaroz en el norte de Argentina, el cual requerirá una inversión de USD 600m para su probable puesta en marcha en 2019. |
