Intel ID : 238796
Synopsis

Japan plans to make investments in Argentina worth over USD 1bn, reported La Nación on 18 July 2016, citing Japanese ambassador in Argentina, Noriteru Fukushima.

However, Fukushima ensured the investments his country makes in Argentina will depend on the rating given to the South American country by the OECD in October.

Specifically, the investments would be directed to wind energy projects, investment plans for automakers Toyota and Nissan, a mobile telephony plan, mining investment projects by Mitsubishi in a copper mine in San Juan, gas export plans in Neuquen, and a work plan in Jujuy for lithium exploitation.
